Vitalia Active Adult Community – Solon Spreads the Word of the Year

Every year Arrow’s personal and professional development coach, Michael Buckley, asks everyone to pick a “Word of the Year.” The goal is to look inward and consider what we each need more of and what might improve our lives. Sometimes we need more focus or clarity. Sometimes we need more compassion. Sometimes we just need more fun!

Picking a word for both me and my community is a commitment to doing work on yourself and the “we” and “us” work we want to do as a community.

Looking back on 2022, I am pleased to say our memory care neighborhood is now at capacity and we filled all our department head positions.

Now, looking forward to 2023, what Vitalia Active Adult Community – Solon needs is unity. We are large and strong, and if we all work together for one goal, we will be unstoppable. We, as a team, are going to learn about our staff, our residents, and other departments. We want to support each other and realize issues are not just within our silo. It is all about being present and coming up with solutions as a unit.

As for myself, I have chosen the word present for 2023. I want to stay in the moment to take in all the joy around me, listen more, hear more, and learn more.
