We actively promote independence while supporting residents with daily living tasks. Each Wellness Wednesday, we focus on encouraging residents to do as much as they can on their own. At the same time, we remind them that we are always here when help is needed. If a resident feels discouraged, we take the time to sit down and explain that our encouragement comes from wanting the very best for them.
Our staff often go above and beyond to bring joy to residents. For example, when a Memory Care resident mentioned craving pizza, a Care Partner surprised the entire Neighborhood with a pizza party. A simple request became a fun and memorable event for everyone.
Laughter also plays a vital role in our community. Our Wellness Director once wore a bra over his shirt for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, bringing smiles and laughter to residents throughout the day. Lighthearted moments like these strengthen community bonds and brighten everyday routines.
