VITALIA Active Adult Community® – Solon Plant Operations Allows No Slip Ups With Building Safety

Building Safety Month takes place in May every year and is internationally recognized for raising awareness in keeping buildings safe.

This initiative unites industries, associations, academia, and government under a common goal to protect the public by creating a safe and resilient environment. Our primary focus as the Plant Operations Team at VITALIA Active Adult Community® – Solon Solon, OH is keeping our residents, visitors, and staff safe.

There are multiple tasks we perform to safeguard our community, including daily safety walks, usually first thing in the morning. We’re looking for any water leaks or structural damage.

The Plant Operations Department is responsible for building maintenance, but we are also the first line of defense for building safety. We ensure the environment is safe for residents, staff, and visitors. I am most proud of our accident-free records.

At home, I also ensure building safety. I make sure there are no trip hazards, as well as always watching for water leaks, primarily under sinks and under the water heater.
